I'm going to embarrass myself just a tad today..but I digress it wouldn't be blogging if I didn't every now and then.
Here's a 7 yr old entertainment center that has seen it's share of light and abuse.
Go ahead nip pick..it's that bad.
My brother in law who works with cabinetry would walk in and ask every time .."when you gonna sand; stain or paint that eye sore." (Kester~ this one's for you!)
I agree'd but didn't know which way to go with it..so on the back burner it went.
Until I painted this wall I didn't know how nice this color would be and that's when the family (boy's) got involved to help paint the old "eye sore".
And here they are doing the first coat.
I finished the second coat and now look at it!
I'm so pleased with it!
Now here's something ironic..or subliminally, if you will.
When I was throwing together some decorations on top (as I'm still looking of big bolder pieces to go here) I walked by at one point to stop in my tracks to see the sign in context to where it was sitting above the TV center.
Now let's see if you get it?
You've heard it said the "one eye'd monster" or the families control center.
Not here though because this house will serve the Lord!
Since then I've moved it to a better location and am very blessed to not have that steal our families time away as we don't have cable and only watch sky angel, which I can't say enough good about it!
For great and simple ways to home make your home..visit here as there's a wealth of info and ideas that are truly a blessing!

That turned out fabulously!! WTG!!
We don't have cable either but Rob would love to get skyangel or 3ABN. Then he'd just be a big couch potato all the time, though. LOL I can hear him now "But HONEY! It's spiritual programming!"
I love the way it turned out. Very nice!
It looks great...and I love that it was a family project!
Wow that looks wonderful!!! By the way, silly me I just saw your comment on my "large families" post. Thanks for taking time to share your story with me!
