My dh's love language is the "gift of service", as well as mine. So when I decided to do this, the decorations where a perfect compliment from my dh of 13 years and best friend of 17 years to go with!
When he walked in after work this is what greeted him and to say the least he was very surprised as he thought it would be shower and rush out for dinner & a movie.
Little did he know his wife had her own agenda with details like wear his favorite dress, put up your hair the way he likes it,use the perfume lotion he likes..and other details I won't be sharing ;)
Seriously though..he was tickled!
The first hour or so he was genuinely surprised and speechless.
In planning overnight stay for the kids, to cooking his favorite dinner as well as renting a movie..made it a very special time for him and even me!
We've
learned
how to
LOVE
& communicate by paying attention to one another's needs and love language. Praying together is another very powerful reason for our marital bliss!
Look what I also cooked up..
the dessert however was compliments of the local bakery. (hey I'm not that good..;D besides two toddlers underfoot, they both had dentist appts. that afternoon!)
So there you have it a DIY Anniversary that's priceless and the results can cause one to fall in love all over again, I know I did!!
