My good friend Kerri (one on the right) moved to CO. our Freshman year of High School here we are almost four years later back together again, it was so much fun!
I'm about 19 years old here and even though it appears we where " cheesing big" it was the effect of our chattering teeth as it was to cold to stand still on the slopes of Copper Mountain...burrr.
Now here's a really funny short story about us..
We both finished HS the same year, I decided that I didn't know what I wanted to do so I worked for the first summer eventually applying to nursing school and switching at the last minute to go into Beauty School. I was in school only a couple of months when we planned to go snow skiing. So when I called her to let her know I was coming up...she said "well I think I can get a few days off school..hey you'll never guess what I'm doing now!"
I said "what's that?" (thinking ..uhm your right, not a clue?!)
I started Beauty School this week and it rocks I so totally dig it!
You don't say?
Would this be why we remained friends for so long even over the distance?!
Since this pix, she came to my wedding and another time after my first born was a year.
Recently she got hitched in Vegas and then did the real thing (for the sake of their parents) on top of the Copper Bowl during Spring..it was a pretty wedding & almost as gorgeous as she was!
I saw soo many pictures..:0( I would have loved loved to have been there!
Note to Kerri: I'm not buttering you up..I didn't get to come because it just doesn't happen as easily with a family of five, you'll see! Or you might not cause..your getting any younger girl! So get busy!!!
So can I come up this winter??? Please :D

I really like your BIG BLUE head warmer thingy.
We Southern gals are not built for such conditions!
What a sweet memory of your friend!

Hey - to recommend a good read - Do you like Christian Fiction? Terri Blackstock's Night Light series is awesome. Secular - I can reccomend a few but I'd need to know what kind of books you like. I'm giving away a few on Friday One I've read and ADORE and the other..um..I haven't and probably won't but w/e, right? LOL
Snow bunnies! (Even if you are COLD bunnies!)How fun that you are still friends.
Fun!
I always think I love the cold and then it gets to under 40 degrees and I remember where I'm from!
So cute! I love the matching headbands/ear-warmers! What great memories you two have made with each other!
Good friends are a blessing aren't they!
So hard to find a good friend like that. Hope you two can see each other again real soon. I know it's hard, but life is short and we need to try and do it. (I need to take my own advice, too) You guys looked so cute and you can't even tell that you are freezing.
That is cool that you both change to Beauty School. You know I have never been skiing.
Life long friends truly are the best, aren't they?
Hey not sure what the book comment was about, but just wanted to say that I too LOVE the Terri Blackstock books. :-)
Great minds think alike! So no wonder you both went for the same vocation!
I love the headband-warmer, too! I never looked good in them, though.
Personally, I love the lime green accents on your jacket. How wonderful to have such a strong friendship, despite distance.
I bet you'll get to come up for the winter :)
Have a great weekend Brenda!
