Such a sweet boy..14lbs and 10months old.
We adopted him a week ago Friday and for me it was love at first sight.
I had no plans for this, you know?
But of course you never know when cupids arrow will strike.
So there you have it..he's mine.
But I share him with the kids.
And even though my dh likes him..Junior doesn't share the same feelings.
Nope..
He will cower behind me..or walk around dh when confronted.
This makes my dh annoyed.
Because not only has he had to pay for the adoption; food and put up with a few messes.
Now he has to pay vet bills for a broken leg.
Yep..he was running silly around the house acting crazy after his bath like most dogs do.
We didn't witness it but heard awful hollowing sounds as we were putting the kids to bed.
Hoping it was a sprain or pulled muscle but the next morning it confirmed by the vet bill of $178 complete with pain meds.
All this and still Junior doesn't like dh.
If I could explain this to him like I just did to you, I am sure Junior would be more grateful.
For now he sits at my feet..waiting for me to give him permission to get up.
Put instead I'm having him sit through a petting from the real master of this house.
While telling him, Come on Junior just like him that's all the thanks he needs!
Until then..I'll secretly be please I'm his favorite ;)

Oh my gosh, what a cutie!! My dog broke her leg when she was about the same age.
Oh Dawn! Junior is so cute! I like the name too although I wouldn't have been adverse to having a namesake (Jenior).
Sorry about the leg and the vet bill but I'm glad he has y'all to take care of him.
What a cutie Junior is! Our Kiki didn't like my husband or my oldest son at all for several weeks, but now you wouldn't know it!! Hang in there... he might warm up to him yet!
