To train up a child - fishing

The totts & I went to the river for some casting lessons with the new poles daddy brought at THE place~ "Pro Bass Shop".

While dh did help pick the best poles, he wasn't there the first minute they both were in a tangled mess, and needed directions on how not do that, o' what fun!

Truth is, there should be a saying "behind every good fisherman is a momma".

Here's a few shots of "tangle free moments"

Al' natural-caster...

Following through "nicely done son"...

O'my it's a done deal! My work is done here! He may now consort with the "big boyz" this summer in the K-man club fishing trips!
Two down and one more to go till I have weekends of peaceful book reading bliss ;0).

I'm thinking...she's gonna be the hardest to teach ;0.

Yep...that's why it's called "training up a child in the ways they should go.." not will go!

I am impressed at your fishing knowledge! My idea of fishing is watching the boys fish in our pond while I fix supper in our nice air conditioned kitchen!

My oldest LOVES fishing - I'm so lucky that my hubby is patient enough with him to do it often! Cute pics!
