Thursday

It's cold in here..

Yes- my home is "freezing" if we were to lose electricity right now, it would not matter because my kitchen is a meat locker and if you think I'm joking..it's 28' in there right now.
Does this bother me..well a little. Only because unlike others basking in the warmth of any room right now while asking "what am I going to make for breakfast/lunch or dinner?" Yours truly says let's go eat in town. :0) (per the weight gain :0/)

A fireplace would be a welcome sight which would add to our living space, of course I may be tempted to park right in front of the hearth like a cat purring from it's warmth. ;0)

Until then, the reality is we do have heat in our "family room" ( master bedroom) and this is enough to get us through the cold winter months. I'm sure your thinking "how does a family of five live this way?" For starters it was not planned but we are just taking it one day at a time. It is an instant way to live simply and get out of debt.
We experienced numerous blessings in living this way, as we've grown closer in our family and it seems to aide in teaching us to trust in the Lord, which is always good!

“Praise the LORD, O my soul; all my inmost being, praise his holy name. Praise the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits-”- Psalm 103:1-2

The "verse of the day" it's appropriate. If I were to focus on the things I didn't have, I would be depressed..seeing this verse reminds me of all he has done and all he promises to his children.

So this is the theme of my day while everything around me may be cold my heart is warm knowing I can count those blessing, name them one by one, seeing what the Lord has done!
Dawn :0)

P.S. His love is sufficient for all who want it..

Getting out of debt will be worth it. And living "simply" is a lesson we ALL need to learn. I'm proud of ya!
