it's a Texas tradition..

Whew! It's been busy round our stompin grounds..

getting ready for the social studies showdown.

When the dust finally settled after all the hard work..my kid received "the best of show" along side four shiny new stars! 

Later that week we attended the schools annual awards ceremony..

and after receiving many certificates this  momma was so cheek hugging proud that the poor little wrangler was a ready to skip town..and now that the work is done and behind us.

It was time to jump right in and let the summertime fun begin..

so we kicked off our boots, put our life vest on..said goodbye school and hello to pools!

A spot like this is, is all it takes..

views of blues..

and the rolling hills..

along with a place to catch some tube and eat some delish BBQ..

it's such a laid back place no six shooters here..however beware as there's always a few water packin pistols..like this here cutey.

And even so they are all happy to play..

 

to their hearts content..

Or until they turn to raisinettes.
