did you wanna eat all the marsh mellows out of the lucky charms cereal box?
You couldn't watch TV or play Atari till chores were done?
Here's one of those nostalgia times I remember,
I only had $1.19 and wanted a Big Red and jolly rancher sticks that cost $1.28 and after begging bribing my friends for their leftover lunch money many times I would race to the corner store breathlessly returning to the bus stop for a long bumpy country road ride home after school, all while enjoying the fruits of my labor?!
Funny thing is, as adults (sahm) we can do this whenever we want...such rebellion, right?!
Sometimes (like today) I do this...of course I share the marsh mellows with the kids and don't have to bribe them for their chore change instead I borrow from my happy face "laundry change" bank...I'll even drive myself over to the Mini-mart for a special treat, because... I can!
Today instead of washing the breakfast sink of dishes I washed a fork for lunch and by then I still didn't make the bed!
Then there was the few episodes I got to watch on-line while the oldest played an "endless hour" on the game box thingy, who thinks he's in heaven while the little ones played in his lego set...boy is he in for a rude awakening in a few minutes!
{WARNING} some things should not be done all at the same time!
Hope your day was productively filled and tummy ache free!
Leave a comment about something you wanted to do as a kid...go ahead make me laugh!

Let's see. I wanted to be Miss America, a famous writer, and maybe a singer on the side. Oh! and a nurse and a mommy!
Actually, that story really does remind me of my own childhood. My sisiters and I would search our house and anywhere else for the glass soda bottles you could return for a deposit. 5 cents apiece! We would load up our wagon and walk4 or 5 blocks to the convenience store to redeem them and then spend evry cent on candy. Usually we scraped together enough for the 3 cent pieces but on a good day, we could get Hubba Bubba Bubble gum! It is funny to reminisce because in this day and time I would NEVER allow my children to do the same.
I agree I would never let my kids' walk anywhere alone these days...scary out there.
"Back in the day" as we say around our house often cause our kids' think we are older than dirt....Mike and I as teenagers would gather any change we could find and walk to the Barrel House in Bandera for a Dr. Pepper and a Snickers Ice Cream Bar....Yummy GREAT now I made myself have a craving he he he. Sounds like you had a great day to me, my kind of day not that we have one very often. :) Heather S.
I wanted to be a singer! I loved to sing, I sang in chorus and in church. I grew up and I lead worship in our last church.
My favorite toy was my Barbies! And my babies. I told my 3rd grade teacher when I grow up I want to be a mommy and she told me that wasen't a real job...
But we know as SAHM I am living my dream, and it's a very real job with many blessings!
As a kid I loved learning to bake - a love I still have. But, I always wished I could eat the frosting without having to have a cake. So... (sssh! Don't tell anyone my secret) sometimes I intentionally leave a little "extra" in the bowl after I've frosted the cake. Yep! I EAT it!!!
Every once in awhile, the kiddos catch me in the act and then I have to share! Ha!
I still buy Lucky Charms for the marshmellows only. :)
Okay, so last week, I was completely out of cereal, bread, biscuits, etc, ... so I made cupcakes for breakfast!! HA. I didn't tell my hubby!! :))
