Go ahead and say it....pretty please
Look how adorable that baby is!
OK so I'm a little prejudice and only because...
Well it's like the ONLY baby pix I have of ME!
Seriously~ I've seen one other baby pix of me with my late Granddad holding me the same way, on a porch.
Because of this post traumatic stress syndrome I took oodles (read millions) of pix with all my babes who now suffer from flash blindness.
This pix happened only because my well traveled camera packing Grandma snapped this spontaneously while passing through town sometime in my 6 month of life.
I happened to be sporting this cute pink bonnet that mom made (quite the seamstress she was but not a picture taker though, sorry mom!) as well as the little blue dress she also made "to match those pretty blue eyes you had". (Buttering me up...and it's working.)
She and dad don't agree on many things about the past (as they divorced years ago) but this they have both said on separate occasions
" you were a daddy's girl and most happy on his shoulder"
And to this day I haven't changed much...only now I find I'm happiest on the Lord's shoulder. Read below to find out why?
Luke 15
The Parable of the Lost Sheep
"1Now the tax collectors and "sinners" were all gathering around to hear him. 2But the Pharisees and the teachers of the law muttered, "This man welcomes sinners and eats with them."3Then Jesus told them this parable: 4"Suppose one of you has a hundred sheep and loses one of them. Does he not leave the ninety-nine in the open country and go after the lost sheep until he finds it? 5And when he finds it, he joyfully puts it on his shoulders 6and goes home. Then he calls his friends and neighbors together and says, 'Rejoice with me; I have found my lost sheep.' 7I tell you that in the same way there will be more rejoicing in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who do not need to repent."

What a cute picture! I love the bonnet. I bought my oldest one like that (at the Alamo as a souvenir) She wears it all the time!
And you were adorable, but I bet you hear that all the time!
You look so precious and quite happy there!
But, oh my goodness, just one photo.
Way to go Grandma for taking the picture.
Look how adorable that baby is! :D

You have beautiful blue eyes and I like the bonnet. I put my little girl in bonnets that my MIL has made her. I like how feminine they are.
I don't have too many pictures of myself as a baby. Great story!
That is an adorable picture! Love it!
Beautiful Baby!
It's too bad there aren't more pictures...you were a cutie!
You were an absolutely adorable baby! I don't have many pictures of myself as a baby either. What were our parents thinking? My poor children are going blind from the flash too.
Oh you were such a cute baby!!! Well if you have to have just a few baby pictures, at least you have a good one.
Love the verses :)
love it. Some mom's are too busy *enjoying* the moment to worry about *capturing* the moment. I am not one of those moms =D Half of the enjoyment for me is through capturing it on film.
your eyes in that photo say so much. gorgeous! great post.
This is a really sweet post and a really beautiful picture. Its something your children will want to read years and years from now. What a sweetie pie.
Ok so now I'm gonna get all sniffly because of all of your comments which meant more than you know today!
I'm glad I had this to share with you all!
Oh, how sweet! That bonnet is darling, too!!
How adorable! Too bad that you have so few photos. We don't have many professional photos of our kids, but tons upon tons of at home. Of course with a blogger mom how could we not!
I looove bonnets on little girls! I miss that, with my last 2 being boys.
Yes, quite adorable, indeed! Thank you for coming over to my blog and leaving your recipe. Can't wait to try it!
Great story...and same here...I was the youngesst child so my mom has hardly any pictures of me so I make sure to take tons of my kids!
Love eyes are beautiful.....love the bonnet too. My girls' would never do hats when they were babies, sure is a shame too cause look at what a cute picture comes from it. :) Heather S.
