Day 3 @S. Padre Island ~ (part 2)

 

 

Once you step foot aboard this WWII

aircraft carrier

you become a part of the story.

You could catch a movie in the Mega Theater, take a ride in the Flight Simulator or just enjoy the views from the Flight Deck.

The sights and sounds are so real you'll feel like you've been transported back in time.

 

 

There was also a "time out" on board that we were able to put to good use.

                

Climb behind the controls of a Jet Fighter

  or

a "tow tractor"...

 

Explore 3 levels below deck and 3 above including the captian deck! Very cool!

For many this is a place of memories but those who chose not to remember do exactly as this sign suggest...

 

Many lessons learned here ...another great way to spend the day getting kids worn out from climbing up and down and all around before the last leg of our trip home.
