It’s been a week since the hammer came down on my husbands job and a trying time for him to stay hopeful and wait on the Lord for some door to open.
Expressing to me that he has been full of prayers and hope each day but felt like the other end went silent on him..he just couldn’t feel Him caring enough.
This praying wife had a hard time not preaching at him to stay positive and count all the blessings that she saw.
As I can remember clearly what our past was like when this happened before and I am grateful to not be there again.
Instead I let him vent and then encouraged him later when he could hear it. I am still learning to “be still and wait on the Lord” and not try to fix it for Him.
Turns out I wouldn’t have to wait long either because HE did have a plan.
Last night we did a SS quarterly study that our church puts out a year in advance. It’s title is “Emotions” and this weeks lesson study..is on STRESS.
Appropriate, you think?
A lifestyle of good eating habits, sleep and physical (even vigorous activity) is key to de-stressing and there was lots of scriptures to confirm this…which encouraged me to want to pray for and then find a way for my dh to go to the gym with me also.
He’s wanted to join for a while but didn’t think we should spring for it right now..I kept telling him “you need to, don’t worry about the cost it will all work out.”
Sure enough it did this morning!
When I went in to workout I asked the front desk if I could add him to my account and see about getting the registration waived, explaining the situation.
The girl says “well this month there’s no registration fee and no charge for the first month.”
He already had a plan. (8
I gave thanks right there and she became excited and tells her co-worker that it made her get goose bumps.
In the midst of troubles it’s easy to feel alone with your unanswered prayers.
But don’t believe for a minute those lies.
HE has already planned for those times and when we walk in faith we will feel HIM near.
Always.

So neat when we see (and recognize) God's hand at work, isn't it. Because He does have a great plan, sometimes we just can't seem to realize that in the midst of it! Praising God for answered prayer and knowing He has something amazing for y'all! Blessings!
Praise God! I pray that encouraged your husband to see that God knows his every need.
ALWAYS.
I pray that God will continue to meet the needs of your husband and your family. I believe He will and that you will continue to tell EVERYONE just what God has done!
