Most of you are aware that I'm the "PTO mom" whose also the fundraiser for our little church school.. and if you weren't you are now. ;0)
Serving my second year in this position, I felt we needed to be more creative in ways to raise monies..of course always depending on the Lord to provide just the right ideas.
You see this little lady..
"Ila Grace" she's my friend and church family member.
She's also a professional in every sense of the word of quilting.
Sewing to great lengths for Christ sharing her love and talent to teach others in quilt club at church, she has also donated much of their work to CAM and other local outreach agencies.
For years now she has saved her best and most prized quilts for the annual silent auction dinner. normally hosted by the church school, Notice I said normally.
Here's a pix of the one my parents bought for me last Christmas, right under my nose!
But As I said earlier it was time to think outside the box, so I asked HIM "what I should do differently?" the answer: eBay!
Already I have listed five quilts with more to come and am hoping this proves to be a super BIG blessing to our schools budget!
How times are precarious with the economy highs and all time lows, it just wouldn't be a ministry to lose a student because of family financial difficulties.
so for years our schools tuition has been one of the lowest in our town as well as in surrounding counties because this has been our churches main outreach to us, it's more then a school it's a ministry.
the fact is more then 75% of our subsidies come from donations, seriously.
Now most of you know, I've tried hard to not use this place as venting post "to beat the rug" and/or an "advertisement board" But instead a soap box of encouragement in christ :0)
For the most part I've upheld it..i think ;0/ ?
But TODAY girls I'm soliciting your help; your prayers as well as support in getting the word out about these customized handmade ministry quilts. Please.
Thank you, really thank you for helping in any way!
