So I started studying this...

33_8[3]

After finishing the first motivating chapter there's a "to do list" called POWER POINT:

  • Read: Romans 12 : How do these verses encourage you in your role as a mother? Choose one verse and memorize this week.
  • Prayer: insert
  • Do: On a large index card, write out your job description. Include all your responsibilities.
  • Write: out Col 3:17 on the lower portion of the card, then place in a place you visit often.

Here's mine:

"Home & Child Manager"

  1. Teacher (both in the Word and in living skills)
  2. Organizer (from clothing; meals;housekeeping to outings)
  3. Host (family meals and times of celebration)
  4. Director (over basic home functions and chores)
  5. Overseer ( in prayer and teaching God's Word)
  6. Assistant treasurer to husband and to children in area's of skill not yet  acquired.
  7. Example of a wife and momma whom finds JOY in serving the Lord in this way!

"And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him."

Now I could've been funny in creating my job titles however I decided to put humor to the side and focus on what I need to learn.

In seeing these jobs/responsibilities it's allot like the accountability you would have at a workplace, which will help me to less likely to get "bent out of shape" when I start to feel overwhelmed.

Instead I believe this will encourage me daily ( and I hope in times hourly also!) that I'm right where I need to be as it promotes the right attitude for being a "positive mom".

SO what's your role and are you aware that it's just where your most Valuable and that NOONE could replace you because it was a role created for you by HIM?

I'm going to get this book. Maybe even today! Thanks for sharing.
It's the most important, hardest job I've ever loved.

This post is so encouraging. We are a week into school and I'm already run pretty ragged and more than a little bent out of shape over it. Sounds like I need the book!
