a backyard runway...

 

Recently while out on a business trip we stopped by to visit my Uncle and Aunt who are building their second home, just like us .

The only difference is they have plans for  a landing strip in their back yard. Mind you they don't have any young kids at home to be concerned with playing on the runway...but I had to ask "Why?" and a very reasonable answer was given..."well to save on renting a hanger and the drive to the city..." seems smart to me.

 

 

 

I know what my husband was thinking "lucky man"  as he also shares the love of flying.

While I'm thinking "Thank goodness we live on a hill!"
